Why depth is not optional here
Every piece of playground equipment has a certified fall height — the maximum distance a child could fall from it — and every surfacing material has a chart matching required loose-fill depth to that fall height. Get the depth wrong and the surfacing does not perform as tested, regardless of how nice it looks. We install to the depth your equipment’s fall-height rating requires, not a generic "playground depth" pulled from memory, and we will ask for or help you find your equipment’s certified fall height before quoting.

Properly installed and drained EWF sheds water reasonably well, but any organic loose-fill material can develop mold if a play area has persistent standing water. We check drainage on every estimate and will flag a grading issue before installing new material over a problem spot.
