Removed mulch is hauled to an appropriate green-waste or landscape debris disposal site, not dumped in a back corner of your property or left at the curb for the city to deal with. That disposal cost is built into the removal price, not billed separately after the fact.
How often a full removal makes sense
Not every mulch refresh needs a full removal. If the existing layer is reasonably intact and just faded, we can often top-dress over it and save you the removal cost. We check this on every estimate and tell you honestly which situation you are in — we do not default to the more expensive option because it is more expensive.
